Frequently Asked Questions

Is your honey raw?

Yes! Our honey is raw and unpasteurized. It’s gently strained to remove large particles but still contains natural pollen, enzymes, and even tiny bits of beeswax — just the way our bees made it.

Why does my honey look cloudy or have crystals?

That’s totally normal! Raw honey naturally crystallizes over time, especially in cooler temperatures. It’s still perfectly good to eat — just place the jar in warm water to return it to a liquid state (never microwave it!).

Do your honey jars come with dippers?

Our 3 oz honey jars come with a mini wooden honey dipper — perfect for gifting or sampling. Larger jars are available without dippers.

Are your jars filled by weight or volume?

Our honey jars are filled by volume, so the actual weight may vary slightly due to natural differences in honey density.

What can I use your beeswax for?

Our single-rendered beeswax is great for DIY projects like candles, lip balms, wood polish, and more. It’s minimally processed and may contain small bits of natural debris like pollen or propolis.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes! We offer local pickup by appointment in our Jersey Shore area. We also offer local delivery within 5 miles for a small fee.

Do you sell at farmers’ markets or events?

Sometimes! Follow us on Instagram or check our homepage to see where we’ll “bee” next.

Are your products available year-round?

Since our honey is made in small batches and varies by season, availability can be limited — especially after a good buzz! Stock up when you can, or subscribe to get notified when we restock.

What makes your business sustainable?

We’re committed to small-scale, sustainable beekeeping. Our bees forage freely on local plants, and we never over-harvest their honey. We use recyclable or reusable packaging and are always learning new ways to be more bee- and earth-friendly.

How do you care for your bees?

Our bees are treated with lots of respect, care, and curiosity! We provide them with a safe environment, only take surplus honey, and ensure they have enough to thrive through winter. Happy bees = better honey.

Do you use any chemicals in your hives?

We primarily use natural, low-intervention practices to support healthy hives and avoid harsh chemicals whenever possible. However, if our bees are at serious risk — such as from mites or disease — we may use approved treatments as a last resort, always prioritizing the wellbeing of the colony and the safety of our honey.

Can I visit your hives or learn more about bees?

We love sharing our bee journey! While we’re not currently open for public tours, we often post behind-the-scenes hive updates and fun bee facts on our Instagram or Tiktok.
